Microsoft has announced SharePoint 2010 workflows will be retired starting August 1, 2020. This applies to all environments, including Government Community Cloud (GCC) High and Department of Defense. If you’re using SharePoint 2010 workflows, Microsoft recommends migrating to Power Automate or other supported solutions.

More about Microsoft's decision can be read here.

Timeline

August 1, 2020
SharePoint 2010 workflows will be turned off for any newly created tenants.

November 1, 2020
SharePoint 2010 workflow services will be removed from existing tenants.

KiZAN has developed a service offering designed to ensure your organization will not be impacted by the recently announced workflow platform retirement.

SharePoint Workflow Modernization Offer Details

KiZAN will work with your organization to conduct a SharePoint Online Modernization Scan to inventory all SharePoint 2010 and 2013 style workflows within your tenant. Reviewing the results of this scan, KiZAN will develop targeted recommendations for your organization regarding this transition.

These recommendations will include how many workflows will be affected and categories that they can be associated with (such as out of the box workflows, customized workflows, and highly customized business processes), the sites they will affect, and the recommended migration path for each category. KiZAN will also provide power-user Power Automate training for existing workflow designer “Power Users” inside of your organization (provided remotely via Teams) to get your users started on this transition.
